the strongest, most intelligent man I have ever met, my father, sadly passed this morning from his battle with cancer. you never expect it, even when you sit there waiting for it to happen.
you were the strongest person I have ever met. 15 years of fighting and you made it look like a breeze. through it all, you remained a solid figure in my life: a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
i’ll miss you. i’ll look for you in the sunsets, i’ll listen for you in my 80s rock music, and i’ll feel your presence in every song i sing. life must go on even when yours does not; but you will continue to live on in everything I do. you will forever be a part of me and my story, and I will spend every day trying to live up to the confidence you had in my passion for music. I could only wish to be half as strong and courageous as you have been throughout your life.
