Calling for submissions for Volume 1 Issue 3 of our zine! The theme for this issue is “grain”.
Grain: Isolate any specific grain and a wealth of nuance is revealed. Then, draw back to find that the granular, in aggregate, comprises a whole greater than the sum of its parts. Scope, and texture, and meaning shift and shimmer depending on where you choose to focus. In this edition, we invite our contributors to consider their work in all the complexity of its varied and overlapping dimensions. Which grains do you emphasize, and what big picture do those details comprise?

Starting in March, mai/son will begin its inaugural month-long cohort session - mai/ns. Over the course of four weeks, participants will come together to generate a group installation. Sessions will include group activities, workshops with artists, and support in building your creative vision. You do not need any experience to participate - we invite those who have never presented in a show and seasoned artists alike to come build something special with us. Limited space available. On parle français aussi et on invite les participants francophones à soumettre leur candidature !
