If you’re reading this, it’s your sign to inquire for your bridal hair/makeup at least 6-12 months before your wedding date! Why? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 🤍 You need time to book a trial. Trials are vital (and required with me to book) so you can make sure you love your artists work ON YOURSELF. Just because It looks good in the photos on other clients, doesn’t guarantee you’ll like It on yourself. Every artist is different and just because they are an artist doesn’t mean they can do any makeup look or style you’re wanting! This also gives you a chance to “wear-test” the makeup and see if any adjustments need to be made to the look or skin prep for longevity. You’ll be wearing the makeup ALL DAY on your wedding day, so make sure It doesn’t just look good at first, and then starts sliding off in a couple hours. 🤍 After you book, you can also book a regular appointment to try a different look for your bridal shower, engagement shoot, bachelorette, or even rehearsal dinner. This will give you even more chances to switch up eyeshadow or lip colors/hairstyles to try different variations and help you narrow down your perfect wedding day look! 🤍 After booking your venue and photographer, hair & makeup should be next on the list to book! Don’t put this off, as your hair & makeup will be the FIRST vendors you spend time with on your wedding day, and will be the ones responsible for how you look in your photos FOREVER! If you splurge on one thing for your wedding, hair/makeup, apart from photo/video, are great if you want to look your absolute best! 🤍 Bottom line: please don’t put off your wedding day hair/makeup to the last minute! We book dates up to a YEAR ahead at minimum, so chances are if you wait until 1-3 months before, we may not be available anymore and you’ll stress yourself out looking for an artist last minute. Even those artists that don’t do weddings usually get booked up on weekend dates ahead of time! SOFT GLAM VS. FULL GLAM‼️ (Disclaimer: These are all the same clients with different looks I’ve done on them!) MY definition of this: It’s all in the eyes! A soft glam is simply going to have softer eyeshadow/eyeliner and be much lighter on the eyes. A full glam will be the opposite and have heavier/darker eyeshadow and more eyeliner! The face makeup in either look will still be relatively the same and pretty full coverage with more prominent highlight and contour. A soft glam is NOT to be confused with a “natural glam”, which would not only incorporate softer eye makeup, but also a softer foundation base overall! Everything about a natural glam is much softer and more diffused compared to a soft glam.
