story time : I stumbled across my audition videos for this project - as I was sorting out some recent auditions. Funny thing is - I transposed the shoot dates and I remember just praying and hoping to get this role. The director was 🔥 and I thought I did well with the audition . Then the days passed and I didn’t hear anything - I even reached out to the casting agent thinking the shoot was 2 days away.. 😂I was low key devastated. 2nd guessing everything- Like I can handle the rejection but this one … would be a hard pill to swallow. 😭😅I love AK. I had a ski trip that very weekend so I was like- welp, guess I didn’t get the role .. had a really great trip to Vail with some amazing people. The group and nature kept my spirits up because truly my heart was broken 😭😅 but I didn’t tell anyone because 1.) I was hoping for a miracle 😩😅. 2.) I knew the importance of being present. I get to the Denver airport - im sitting at the bar and I get a call from a NYC # and it’s the agent confirming the role. I shed real tears that day.. not only because I was confirmed but really because I didn’t let that ruin the ski trip nor miss out on the amazing new friends I made. Practicing emotional intelligence-
I said that all to say : try not to forfeit the present for the future because today is truly all we have . Seize the day and hope for tomorrow 💫☀️ forever grateful for this magical experience

“Why do you walk like that”, “ what happened to your leg” kids would constantly antagonize me- Day after day.
i remember hiding out in the hallways and being late to class to avoid the stares and the teasing of my peers throughout grade school.
I struggled not merely because of their words but, because deep down, I knew I was trying my best.
It would be some time till I would come to understand that my best was more than enough.
At 16, I begged my mom for $150 , snuck out of the house and went to a mall scouting contest. I didn’t make the finals but, I felt alive and I tried my best.
July is Disability Pride Month and I am proud of this journey - not just for the accomplishments but, for trying my best at even the most challenging tasks.
Remember, Your best is more than enough. No comparisons needed. No one is you and that is Your super power.
I hope you soar and tackle those childhood dreams with a vengeance. And be the best you can be 💕 because Dreams do come true.
