Humbled, blessed, happy and filled heart is how I feel today. 6 decades of life, so many lessons, so many amazing memories and people in my life. Thank you for showering me today with your texts, posts, calls, gifts, visits to the cafe to celebrate with me. @qlabjas , my first born was the 1st one in the door today to hug me as he has done for almost 40 years, thank you as my heart over flows. My youngest son, @adaley___ never forgets me and I'm so filled with joy about that. My husband is my rock and has been for 24 years. Stephanie Luna, thank you for making the day so so special. Thank you to Eddie for holding things down and being a constant. @annacarrierbarnett and LaVona Jones are the best sisters ever! I love you so much. Sofia, my niece, I have no words to describe how much I am blessed to be your Auntie. @garioca best nephew I could ask for. I sure learned this over the past few days. My soul is restored and I feel complete. Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, new friends and family are what matter. And for the cherry on top, an afternoon with Jas Broome and Katelyn Broome and hubby. Love, acceptance, grace, joy and mercy should be in abundance in your circle. Six months of happiness! Baby girl on the way. Life as a mom and Nonna is pretty great.

THE 3 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE! 1. The Leaf People 2. The Branch People 3. The Root People LEAF PEOPLE: These are people who come into your life just for a season. You can’t depend on them because they are weak. They only come to take what they want, but if the wind comes they will leave. You need to be careful of these people because they love you when things are okay, but when the wind comes they will leave you. BRANCH PEOPLE: They are strong, but you need to be careful with them too. They break away when life becomes tough and they can’t handle too much weight. They may stay with you in some seasons, but they will go when it becomes harder. ROOT PEOPLE: These people are very important because they don’t do things to be seen. They are supportive even if you go through a difficult time they will water you and they are not moved by your position they just love you like that. It’s not all people you meet or are your friends, that will stay with you. Only the root type of people will stay no matter the season!

If ANYONE runs out of food or necessities or times are just tough this Holiday Season..please don’t let yourself or your kids go to sleep with an empty stomach. Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send me a private message. I am more than happy to share whatever I can. I will drop and go. No one has to know and I will pretend it never happened. What’s understood never has to be explained!

Few more wrinkles and gray hair over the last 23 years but there is also more love, memories, laughs and joy. Happy anniversary to my rock, my best friend and my forever. I do- I do- I do a thousand times over.

A magical day celebrating @tressa.daley and @adaley___ becoming Mr. and Mrs.

Fun and exciting story- I was adopted at the age of 16 months. Biologically I am the youngest of 4. Fast forward 57 years- my beautiful older sister, Anna Carrier Barnett and I reunited and spent an amazing weekend together. She has the most gracious and humble spirit, successful, is beautiful, and we do have lots in common. Do you see a resemblance? Thanks Anna for the time and I look forward to many years of catching up.
