It’s been a long long time since I’ve been truly proud of a look I’ve made for Myself... Like many others I’ve struggled most of my life with the image that I see in the mirror, after spending hours creating a look I often feel that the garment itself is beautiful but it would be displayed better on a different body. This garment was somehow different, I was actually proud of what I had made, I felt beautiful and worthy of wearing it. so to anyone who’s struggling with the same feelings of self doubt, don’t give up. You will find moments of acceptance and pride in yourself ♥️ Ok enough of the sappy shit! Back to the usual unhinged Edie 😂 “Pull the Lever Kronk!” Hair by the incredible @itsjustzsazsa @hairbyzsazsa (it’s my favourite hair ever) Black velvet gown and cream satin corset with matching handmade flowers by Me😊 Inspired by the 2024 Met Gala and @schiaparelli

Can’t wait to see this look come to life on its beautiful new owner! I love a good appliqué and multiple reveals! For this Burlesque set we did Opera length gloves, a zip front skirt and tear away cups😊😊 There’s something about seafoam and gold that just makes me think of a mermaid! 🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️🧜🏼‍♀️ #drag #burlesque

It’s easy to get lost in deadlines and busy schedules, but I want to start Sharing more of the designs I create for my beautiful clients! I love the process of going from sketches to a finished garment and I want to document that process on a more regular basis. Here’s one of my favourites from the past month 🖤♥️🖤 Here we created a Burlesque Villain with a “bloody” lingerie set & quick reveal black sequin corset with draped satin #drag #burlesque

FINALE: “No Shrinking Violet” For my finale look I wanted to create something that wasn’t rooted in a particular reference or era as most of my other looks were. As I discussed on the show, I have always struggled with projecting my authentic self and feeling worthy of the attention and having the self-confidence that being a Creative often requires. I wanted a look that commanded attention and took up space….a cape of 14 metres of Celadon green silk with matching heavily stoned “menswear” inspired collar-vest and skirt makes sure that I have no choice but to take up space and not apologize.♥️ Hair by @itsjustzsazsa Congratulations to @benjamintoner on the Big Win! Ep. 7 Equestrian: Details Inspired by riding costumes of the 19th & 20th century, the base of this look was a tailored chocolate brown satin jacket with “leg of Mutton” sleeves - Historically this would have been paired with a long trained skirt. Belt, leg garters and crop made of a faux tooled leather Black satin top hat, a style borrowed from menswear, is softened with large bows of tulle, horsehair braid, feathers and long grosgrain ribbons. Finished with a net veil Stay tuned for the Finale of Sew Fierce this Wednesday on @outtv and @froottv.uk

Episode 7 - Theme: Sports When we were asked to do a sports inspired look, I drew a complete blank! I have never been someone who enjoyed sports! needless to say I was never surprised when I was picked last in gym class! 😂 While everyone else was playing sports I probably had my head stuck in a history book or studying old fashion plates♥️ I’ve always loved how in the past there were always specific uniforms for every activity, especially when it came to outdoor sporting like riding and hunts. Because sport activities required a greater range of movement, often the styles were inspired by menswear, adopting a more streamlined elegant aesthetic as opposed to the highly decorated and restrictive fashions of the day. Hair provided by @thedragstop_ ♥️ & styled by the incredibly talented @itsjustzsazsa ♥️ Edits by @nickinastasia Fun fact I’m wearing the same shoes @nickinastasia was wearing for @starkerscorsetry Sports look!✌🏻🤣♥️ Stay tuned for more detailed shots of the various pieces of this look! Congratulations to: @benjamintoner @starkerscorsetry @madame_absinthe on making our Top Three!♥️

Ep.6 - Theme: Dancing Queen This week we were to create a Dance inspired look - My mind instantly went to Disco, obviously! I wanted to do something more fun and less formal then the more historical based looks I’ve done so far. I used a classic DRAG ready Mystique spandex in rich shades of burnt orange and maroon and used sequin panels to create appliqués to accentuate the body hugging cut & huge flare bottoms to create lots of movement and shine in the Disco lights! I’m so proud of what @annetiquedoll and I were able to create during our run! And can’t thank her enough!!♥️ Can’t wait to share the looks for the remaining themes! As always this gorgeous Disco babe hair is by @thedragstop_ ♥️ Huge congratulations to @gidgetgalore on another win!

Ep. 5 Theme: Burlesque For this week we were to create a Burlesque costume. I was inspired by the classic Showgirl of the 20’s & 30’s and early Drag performers, Barbette & Julian Eltinge. Because I love this style so much! It was hard to decide exactly which way I wanted to go in, but once I started to collect the materials, all In silver, crystal and black I became obsessed with the idea that the garment should look as if it were in Grayscale, giving it that glowing illusion of being on the silver screen or in a vintage photograph. My beautiful model @annetiquedoll brought to life my version of the classic Vaudeville showgirl. Hair by the always amazing! @thedragstop_ A huge congratulations to @gidgetgalore for the win this week with a truly breathtaking look!🤍 Thanks to @starkerscorsetry for capturing this little clip of this look!♥️ Stay tuned for some more details of this look!

Ep. 4 Gender Bending : The Details For my 18th Century inspired look from Ep.4 I used a combination of cream and vibrant Fuchsia silks. This bold but minimal colour palette was chosen to make this look very bold, eye catching - a simplified version of the original 18th century inspirations. Pink is probably one of the most gendered colours in our society, but it was very much worn by both men and women prior to the 19th century. Red was one of the most expensive dyes to produce, hence it was a colour that symbolized power and wealth. Pink - which was often referred too at the time as “light red" or “white red” therefore contained red dye and was also considered a colour of “masculinity” and “power” During the early 19th century men's wardrobes become much more sober and darker colours prevail, leaving Pink as a colour almost entirely to the female wardrobe. Pink and Blue will be associated with gender mostly during the 20th century especially around the 1930's/1940's with the baby boom. When we break down the history of our society’s “rules” about gender when it comes to colour and clothing we see how truly arbitrary those “rules” are and how little they should govern our thoughts on gender and what’s “acceptable” 💕💕 Like @sashavelour said “gender is a construct, tear it apart”
