IT’S OK💙
Since I started my competitive dance career at age 11, mental health has always been something I have paid close attention to. Now at 17 years old, I have made it my mission to spread awareness for mental health issues in fine arts communities.
In March of 2023 my community service initiative, It’s OK, was approved as an official non-profit 501-(c)(3) through the state of Connecticut, helping me support and raise mental health awareness for dancers and artists everywhere.
Through my C.E.P. plan, I am able to communicate honest mental health experiences and issues, encourage research, volunteering, and uplifting language for those struggling, and provide safe spaces and healthy environments in artistic communities throughout Connecticut. I’m so grateful that through the Miss America Opportunity, I am able to advocate for mental health awareness, something I have been so passionate about the last 6 years.
Although I have done so much already, there is still so much to do and I plan on being an outlet for artists all over Connecticut and simply letting people like myself know it’s okay to take a break, your mental well being depends on it.

My heart is bursting and I am filled with the upmost gratitude when looking back on this life changing year. I have been able to work with so many incredible organizations, form wonderful connections within many different communities, and most importantly, inspire the next generation of young girls to follow their dreams.

I can’t believe that the day has finally come! Walking out of my interview was so bittersweet, since it was my last one as a teen, but I would not change a single thing about it. Our judges are absolutely incredible and I had a blast warming them up and speaking to them this morning. Now, it’s on to the final show later tonight!🥹👑
That’s a wrap on day 3 of Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Week!🥹🤩🩵
Our day was jam packed, but that didn’t stop us from having SO much fun! We started off our busy day with rehearsals, where we practiced the opening number, fitness, and evening gown. Today’s rehearsal theme was Purple Pride, in honor of Gina and I’s Community Service Initiatives, the Grace Collective and Alzheimer’s Awareness! Huge shoutout to @tshirtworldct for creating custom t-shirts for Gina and I to give to all of the delegates today! Following our rehearsals was the Miss Connecticut Garnet Girls and Guys Tea Party, where we were able to eat a yummy lunch and recite the @missamericaslittlesisters Pinky Promise Pledge. The Teen and Miss classes were also so incredibly generous to present Gina and I with gifts during the Tea Party, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We went right back to work after a great lunch, rehearsing the opening number and fitness routines in our competition outfits, and then started to get ready for an exciting night of shows! Not only was I able to crown and walk the stage with my three Garnet Girls, Kylie, Hannah, and Maci, but I also was able to perform as a special guest in our Talent Show! A huge thank you goes out to Sara from Salon Social for giving me the perfect up-do for tonight’s shows, and to Dia as well for making me look and feel truly stunning! While tonight was so much fun, tomorrow is going to be even better, although a little bitter sweet, and I cannot wait to share all of these last moments with you all.🥹🤍
Day 2 of Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Week is COMPLETE!🤩❤️💙
WOW, what an incredible day we had today! To kick off our second day at Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Week, we rehearsed our opening number, fitness routine, and evening gown walks with our production team and choreographers. Today’s rehearsal theme was Go Red for Women, in honor of Miss America’s Partnership with the American Heart Association, as well as their personal #MissAmericaFit initiative! Thank you to @rebelathleticcheer for providing me with the BEST red outfit to rehearse in! Gina and I were then able to greet our Garnet Gals and Pals as they arrived to the Ridgefield Playhouse for the first time today, and then rehearsed their routine with them! After rehearsals ended, we got to meet back up with our Garnets to enjoy our Pajama Party, where we had pizza, watched a movie, and played so many fun games! We had the best day today, and cannot wait to see all that day 3 holds in store for us tomorrow!✨🥳
Welcome to Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Week!🤩🥳👸💛✨
Today was the beginning of Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Teen Week, and boy did we have a blast! We began our competition week with our annual arrival ceremony, where we got our class photos taken by our wonderful sponsor, @fiehnphoto , and see each other for the first time since orientation! Our ceremony was followed by a small orientation/information session where we heard from our fabulous Executive Director and Vice President, as well as receive the cutest gift bags from @thule , with presents from @kgarciaprod and official competition badges with our photos from @carlosvelezstudios ! Our last event of the night was our very first state week rehearsal with our choreographers and producers, Mimi and Jenna! Tonight’s theme for our rehearsal was School Spirit, and these ladies showed up and showed OUT! I am already so very proud of these beautiful women and cannot wait to see them shine during these next few days! Now, on to day two of this magical week!🤩👑

8 years ago, I attended my first Miss Connecticut competition as a Connecticut Princess. I was in awe of all of the “big girls” and how absolutely brilliant and beautiful they were on stage. This was also the very first time that I had met two of my biggest role models, @elizakanner and @brooke.cyr_ , the first time I had heard about the Teen program, and the first time that I ever wanted to be Miss Connecticut’s Teen. I worked so hard to achieve that dream, and now, 8 years later, I am returning to yet another Miss Connecticut competition, but this time, to close out such a beautiful chapter of my time in the Miss America’s Teen program. I have grown and evolved so much from my very first Miss Connecticut Week to the start of my last in Teen, and I am so grateful, thankful, and blessed beyond my wildest dreams to be standing in the position that I am in today. To all of the wonderful young ladies that will be checking in to the week of their lives today, remember to be YOU and to take in every single moment. You’ve got this, and I am so proud of each and every single one of you. To little Em, we did it babe. We ticked our biggest dream off of our bucket list, and now we’re moving on to the big and the better. I hope that I’ve made you the most proud little princess ever, and I love you always.❤️

One year ago today, I was crowned Miss Connecticut’s Teen 2023. I cannot believe that one year had already come and gone, and that by the end of this week, we will have a new Miss Connecticut’s Teen. I have been working my hardest since June 18th, 2023 to make my family, friends, and the people of Connecticut proud, as well as serve with my heart and soul. Thank you times a million to @missconnecticutscholarshiporg for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity, to @missamericact for being the most incredible person to share this trip around the sun with, and to @missamericasteen for helping me to reach for the stars and achieve my biggest dreams. It’s only up from here, friends, and I hope you’ll continue to join me on all of my next adventures.💜✨
