Our story✨
We migrated to this lovely city in 2001… however what was intended to be a temporary stay prolonged itself when my dad got diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Going into surgery, the doctors said that they couldn’t guarantee removing the whole tumor bc the brain is a sensitive place to operate. They even stated my dad was only going to have 3 months to live.
However, before his surgery my dads prayer and desire to God was “please let me live longer than what the doctors are saying… I want to be a father. I want to teach my kids and watch them grow..” What the doctors said was going to last 3 months lasted 11years.
His Passing in 2012 was one of the toughest things we had to endure. But I’m grateful for all my dad taught us and for allll of the memories that I keep alive in my heart.
So grateful for events and marathons such as this one that allow so many people with different reasons to gather up for a wonderful cause ❤️
