I get asked this all the time, this is the trend and what’s happening going forward.
Og highs will no longer receive any original colors in regular fashion. The Air Jordan 1 Retro OG line will only get new takes on old classics via the reimagined line. While releasing new colors and styles. The original colors are only reserved for 85 highs for the foreseeable future.

The 85 line will run congruent with this releasing original colors and samples in the classic 85 High and Low shape.

Do know this is V2 standard going forward:
Wings embossed
Toebox slightly wider
Swoosh ending is slightly enlarged. Insole (which changed this year before the updated shape)
Less use of polyurethane coating. Rounded toe cap.
Slightly trimmed midsole.
The focus is love!
I kept this penny with me for 13 years before I gave it to my wife ( then girlfriend) because it meant the world to me. It was a reminder that at one point I not only felt worthless, I was. I tried to take my life several times during the last few years before committing to change and getting my life together. And although years later I would attempt a few more times to take my life, it’s been 8 years since the last serious situation. I’ve found refuge in my wife, comforts in my kids, and joy in sneakers. Pride in being able to help others. This penny is still with my wife and I. The reminder that we will never be worth less than a penny with a hole in it.

The strap version AJ1 that released during 2015 all took their cues from the early flight suites from the 80s. Each had 3m straps that when removed revealed a differ color wings logo. This particular pair I did own. They actually didn’t crease like you’d expect nylon to do. It was like sleeping bags for your feet 🤣. Only thing I didn’t like about them personally was the fact that the shape didn’t hold up with wear. Outside of that these are perfect beaters, and a great rain shoe. 😏till later ✌🏾

Carlos Prieto, the founder of SoleFly, was unveiling exclusive samples, left and right back in 2022. Among them is the “What The” Air Jordan 1 Low OG, a collaborative project between SoleFly and Jordan Brand.
Although these are not planned to be released, it was dope of him to share some of the samples from “the vaults”. Salute to @chinojp3 and @solefly as I hope y’all do a new AJ1 in the future.
