I am honored and humbled to assume this role and am eager to start the journey towards the Mrs. International Pageant happening in Kingsport, TN this July. My heart is full of gratitude for everyone who has supported me along the way. SisterFriend, Inc. is more than just a non-profit; it’s a movement dedicated to sustaining menstrual health for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. 💜💗It all started with a vision to uplift those facing period poverty, a vision that has been turning into reality since May 2015. Thanks to the support of some incredible friends, we’ve provided over half a million menstrual products to our community. 💪🏾At SisterFriend, we’re all about education, advocacy, and collaboration. Our core mission is to ensure that every school-aged child has access to the menstrual products they need to succeed and stay healthy in school. We’re passionate advocates for free menstrual products and comprehensive education in all schools. And we’re here to fill the gaps in donations and funding, working with schools, shelters, and community organizations to make sure no one is left without the essentials. We’re proud to be Pittsburgh’s only 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to menstrual health sustainability. 👑 #PageantPrep 👑 As I immerse myself in preparations for the Mrs. International pageant this month, I’m cherishing every moment, especially as I focus on one of the core values of the International System – Family. This past weekend was a delightful break from the hustle of preparation as the kids and my mother joined me on a road trip to visit Daddy at our State’s Capitol, Harrisburg. Despite the busy budget season for our government officials, we didn’t want to let a whole week go by without connecting as a family. We made the most of our time together creating unforgettable memories. A highlight was visiting Daddy’s State Representative office and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Capitol. These moments remind me of the importance of family support in everything I do, including my journey towards the Mrs. International crown.
