Last night I had the honor to welcome some truly beautiful women (inside and out) to our Women’s Wellness Dinner 🍲
Each month
@om_darling and I host a dinner for women where we discuss various health topics, and in honor of women’s history month we wanted to plan a dinner around 🩸 the menstrual cycle 🩸
And ladies, we had ourselves the most nourishing conversation
It’s no secret I’m an advocate of women’s health and specifically around *education*
We women are so uneducated about our unique bodies and cycles, and it’s not our fault. We’ve never been taught.
BUT
Because of misinformation and miseducation we
❤️🔥 take hormones without knowing their effects
❤️🔥 trust doctors when our intuition tells us otherwise
❤️🔥 are scared, ashamed, & confused about our bodies
❤️🔥 miss out on the power of our cycles
Yesterday, I was also honored to support my friend
@bethbeefwalters at the UN moderating a panel on Period Poverty Beyond the Products, and she said something so profound.
“About half the population is walking around with a superpower that they have no idea they have.”
Before I began this work in learning about our cycles and hormones, my period felt like a burden: cramps, acne, pms, etc
When I learned that the symptoms we have from our periods are just signs from the body that it needs some support, and then learned how to balance my hormones it all changed.
Not only did I begin to see my period as a blessing, but I was also able to use my entire cycle (including my period) to my advantage in: my workouts, diet, and even in my business.
Loving myself and putting myself first means honoring my cycle, listening to my body, and supporting it, however it needs…. that day.
If you want to learn how to work with your cycle to eliminate optional symptoms and balance your hormones, drop a ❤️🔥 in the comments and ill dm you an application to my Hormone Health Foundations Program kicking off IRL in NYC next month.
