Developer of the Day: Shinji Mikami! This longtime games industry veteran is most known for being the father of the Resident Evil series and the survival horror genre overall. First starting his career at Capcom in 1990, Mikami directed the first Resident Evil in 1996 and then Dino Crisis in 1999, and then later returning to Resident Evil with the remake in 2002 and then Resident Evil 4 in 2005. After working on his final game with Capcom in 2006, God Hand, Mikami left the team and joined Platinum Games where he worked on the title Vanquish.
