NBA India is pioneering an effort to recycle discarded fishing nets into basketball hoops for local communities across India. Abandoned fishing nets make up 80% of marine pollution in India, with 5,000 tonnes of “ghost nets” washing up onshore.
How can you repurpose something you would normally throw out? Try donating, selling, or swapping unwanted items for money or store credit, or organize a clean-up in your local area.

Today was a special day as we unveiled our new STEAM room at the Jerry Gamble Boys & Girls Club! We partnered with @heartofamerica & @nbacares to bring this new space to life for their youth 💙
