After all, if a tool is boring or not useful, I want nothing to do with it. CMX2 v2.5 update is so incredibly fun, and I've been exploring color ideas for ages now on tons of older shoots. I open a shot that I don't have color grading on, and I think, "What theme would fit this?" and then I go on the hunt via Google and find images that seem to be cool ideas to pull from. A minute or two later, and the whole "I dunno what direction to start here." becomes "Oh ok this is perfect." Organic color grading via CMX2 – you think about what color themes might look cool, you Google for inspo or even take your phone around the neighborhood snapping cool color palettes, then come back to CMX2 and apply them to your shots (and with dozens of cool ways to modify and "dial in" your color in awesome ways). No need to open a 3rd party window of a plugin, adjust settings, and then commit to it all before continuing on.
