So this puppy’s coming out this Summer! 🐄🎶 I’m filled with great joy to be able to start sharing it. It feels like the most collaborative and cathartic thing I’ve ever been a part of and I feel fortunate to have had such wonderful personalities join me on the journey. Eli Moore from @laketheband was a huge part of it. Something clicked with us from the moment we started playing together and it just kept going until the sound of this record emerged and took on a momentum of its own. At one point Eli said that there should be a cow on the cover and that made a lot of sense to me at the time. I asked my dear friend John Gnorski what he thought and very soon he made the beautiful cow featured on the cover; I love it! I love sharing music and feeling things come together and watching the form take shape. I’m looking forward to sharing more & more glimpses and perspectives on this thing. It’s a beautiful beast! Deep thanks to @souwesterarts for having us for the residency program. Great way to end the little tour with some writing/experimenting/slowing down..the sea birds and salty breezes helped. Baby Yamuna loved it out there ✨

This one’s been out for a week now, I think. “There’s a transformation always taking place”. The constant change. The only constant. I found myself thinking about this a lot and my meditation on it grew into this groove. Then @eli_guitar_and_stuff took it to a beautiful place. There is a leaning into the uncertainty here and an acceptance of those things unknown or not fully formed yet. Instead of fearing change, I decided to experiment with having fun with it in this song.
