When @karenbritchick first posted about @lr3_louisrubi I immediately fell in love with Louis, his brand and his pieces. Only a few are able to successfully communicate their true and authentic self on the internet and Louis does just that. His passion and love for his craft can be seen and felt as soon as you click on his page or enter his store. Louis blessed us by dressing us in these beautiful pieces of his for a long day at fashion week. We were stopped by at least 50 or more people at the show and on the streets asking us where our outfits were from - I of course went into my retail sales/preacher mode and told every single person a little speech about Louis and his clothes 🤣🤎
I truly love fashion - I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t. People SEE you before they hear you and what you say about yourself matters (at least on certain occasions cuz girl I look like trash OFTEN). I have a lot of social anxiety but my style is one way I get to SAY SOMETHING without actually having to say something … though if you get me started I will talk forever. every time I took a bite of something delicious in Italy, I remembered my dad telling me that he hoped to “recover fast and travel to Italy to see the sights and taste Italian food”…I promised him we would go together as soon as he was able to. Just a few short weeks later on June 8, 2021 our dad hung up his cloak of life. I miss him more than words can ever describe. My family has been blessed with an insane amount of strength that only God could give us to get through the last three years. With the strength comes resilience and the ability to smile even though so often I just want to weep. In the beginning it was just about surviving but I have seen how God has allowed us to also THRIVE. On many days getting up out of bed is an achievement for me and of course, we have all thrown ourselves into what we love doing in life but not a second goes by that we don’t miss our dad. And yet, not a second goes by where we don’t feel him with us. Always. His voice, his words, his aura, though sometimes fading, comes back and stays ever present in our hearts. Happy heavenly Father’s Day dad. We love and miss you so much. I just cannot wait to see you again but for now, I’ll see you in my dreams 🤎
