The global message of The Nanny is that it doesn’t matter what you look like or what you sound like but what’s in your heart that matters. Western culture disrespects elders and experience which is all wrong. We should be hanging on every word from Biden bc his wisdom is Yoda not hot air. We need to listen and learn when seniors speak from a place of wisdom and a lifetime of experience. That matters. Stop looking thru a western super hero lens and acknowledge the candidate who knew the facts point by point by point AND whose heart is in honesty and authenticity.

This doc was great if ur a Wham fan or George Michael it’s a must! My friend Simon Halfon was a producer and long time friend of George. It has an intimacy rare in docs. It’s up for Emmy consideration so please chk it out and Go Go to vote!

I was invited to the Norman Lear Memorial. I called him ‘Normy’. The very first day I worked for him I was late for the day 1 table read of a pilot called Pop. Normy said, “anyone that can look that good at this hour deserves to be late!” That was the Norman Lear I knew. Recently, we sat in a green room which was more of a converted closet and talked about everything. I asked him if 90 years old seemed young to him as he was about to turn 100 and he said, “yeah, it does.” He was a great man who did great things and was well loved and respected. But as each memory was shared yesterday, the tears flowed for my dad too bc everything they said was true for my dad too. Theirs was a great generation and they were as good as it gets! Afterwards, I met some friends for my 24 yr anniversary of wellness at the fabulous Bar Funke in BH. The moon was full, orange and magnificent. Life! Make each moment count, be present and make those you love know it everyday!

My first Father’s Day without my Papacita. Twas bittersweet. But being with dear friends made all the difference. I made a Morty Menu: salad, lasagna, coffee ice cream and chocolate peanut butter cups. The US Golf Open was on the tv and Sinatra crooned on the stereo. I wish I can hear his booming voice always filled with love & joy. Nothing is forever so cherish each moment before it’s too late. I miss you Dad🙏🏻 🤍🕊️

Known for her role in the 1990s sitcom “The Nanny,” @officialfrandrescher emerged as an unlikely labor leader last year as the president of @sagaftra . Despite pressure and personal attacks, she helped secure the union’s most generous deal in decades. “It was Drescher who helped to reframe the fight not as a contract dispute between studios and actors, but as part of a larger class struggle in America,” writes senior entertainment writer Meg James for L.A. Influential, a new series highlighting Angelenos who are shaping the city. Read more at the link in bio.
