Episode 2: BRAVERY….. Here are a few snippets of the basic techniques that I use to practice and explore a particular emotion. Bravery is a neutral breath emotion that I believe we use on daily basis. Here’s a detailed explanation of the exercises to give you a better understanding……1. IMPULSE: this exercise is to understand the connect within you and your emotion or for give and take between the two actors…..2. DIAPHRAGMATIC BREATHING: this is a very important one I believe. Be it stage or screen, it’s important for an actor to breathe the correct way because it helps you emote and deliver the dialogue….3. FACIAL EXERCISE: this exercise helps relax your facial muscles…..4. FIND YOUR BREATH: for
#bravery in the first breath I am inhaling through mouth and inflating the stomach, in the second breath I am inhaling through the nose and inflating the chest and on exhalation I take the posture of bravery to settle into the correct breath….5.FIND YOUR PITCH: I do the
#sargam to understand my pitch and then find the correct one closer to the character. The dialogue ‘ I will not tolerate this behaviour’ is to get the feel of the bravery that’s close to the real life situation,in that pitch before I practice it on the actual dialogue……. Hope this helps. My teachers
