For TJ from @otfwestboca , Pride month is about celebration, acceptance, and family. Read about his inspiring experience at the Pride 5K with his supportive OTF community:
“Pride is not an individual’s identity, but rather a community of acceptance by friends, family, neighbors, strangers, etc. The OTF community celebrates everyone, all year, for their individual and group accomplishments regardless of how big, how small, or how unique to that member. Specifically though, in June, OTF supports local and national organizations focused on a community of acceptance through active volunteer engagement and donations.”
From past struggles to present empowerment, Juneteenth inspires action. It's a day to celebrate freedom while reflecting on our history.
Head Coach Jermaine from @orangetheory_shortnorth shares his powerful perspective: “Juneteenth may mark just one moment in the struggle for emancipation, yet it offers an occasion to reflect on the profound contributions of enslaved Black Americans to human freedom. It's a chance to look back and ahead, ensuring that the notion of freedom and its fragility are always protected and celebrated. As an African American man, OTF Coach and more recently a father, I am extremely fortunate to be able to work and live in a community like Orangetheory that allows so much diversity and inclusion across all platforms and people. Let’s recognize this day and each day going forward and know that the work does not stop here.”
