Vogue Arabia turns 7 this month with a collector’s edition featuring 7 iconic women. Themed ‘Beauties of the World’, the issue aims to celebrate women of different ethnicities, body types and ages — all with a strong connection to relevant social causes — while reminding us that beauty is not just a physical trait, but a quality that really shines from within. At just 22, Palestinian singer #Elyanna shattered a major glass ceiling last year, when she became the first artist to perform a complete set at Coachella entirely in Arabic. Still, growing up, Elyanna explains there were things about herself she didn’t like, but it’s something she worked hard on – to love herself. “As an artist, I have a lot of responsibility to spread that message. I want young Arab girls to feel confident in their skin and love their curves and curls.
