I was delighted to attend the second edition of the Makom Art International Forum held from June 27-30 in Zaamin Uzbekistan. The events commenced with the presence of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, Nazarbekov Ozodbek, Minister of Culture and Simona Mirela Miculescu, President of the 42nd session of UNESCO.
The forum is part of Uzbekistan’s announcement of a series of cultural celebrations and artistic activities planned for the upcoming period, as the city of Samarkand prepares to celebrate its designation as the Capital of Islamic Culture for the year 2025.
