@vprocinema spoke with Cate Blanchett and director Warwick Thornton last year at Cannes during the world premiere of 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙽𝙴𝚆 𝙱𝙾𝚈.
The Australian film tells the story of a nameless Aboriginal boy who is delivered to a monastery in the Australian outback. This refuge for abandoned children is run by the caring Sister Eileen (Cate Blanchett), who is patient with the boys under her care but also determined in her mission to convert them to Christianity. The newly arrived New Boy, as he is called, does not speak English and resists the customs and rules of the monastery.
