LIVE MUSIC FRIDAY AT THE GARIBALDI WELCOMES LITESLEEPER FOR A FREE SHOW ON JUNE 28! At the Garibaldi Hotel on Friday Jun 28, Picky New Promotions and UoN Student Life are excited to welcome litesleeper! Hailing from Northampton, litesleeper is an electronic music group that weaves organic sounds with a powerful, pulsating bass. Their music isn't just for listening; it's designed to get your feet moving and your heart pounding. litesleeper's sound is a unique blend of electronic and natural textures. Lush, organic melodies intertwine with driving beats, creating a soundscape that's both invigorating and immersive. The group's focus on a rich low end ensures their music translates powerfully to the live stage, where litesleeper truly comes alive. Their electrifying performances are known for captivating audiences and leaving them wanting more. Whether you're a seasoned clubber or a casual listener seeking fresh electronic sounds, litesleeper is sure to ignite your senses. Be prepared to be immersed in their world of organic dance music. Main support comes from Londoners Get By On Vanilla: ghostly and primal, punchy, and serene – playing a sound defined by soaring vocals in duet with the classic tones of a semi-acoustic Gretsch. At the heart of their music is a belief in the elemental power of song to stand the test of time in its rawest form. Formed in 2021, Get by on Vanilla have been wowing audiences across London since 2022, and will release their debut album later this year. Opening is Northampton local Soul Groove, who has steadily gained recognition in the electronic music world. Soul Groove is a must-have for any Deep House aficionado. His unmistakably smooth and sexy sound, featuring rhythm percussion from congas, bongos, cabasa, and snare drum amidst layers of sax, trumpets, synth, and soulful vocals, is tailor-made for those summer terrace parties. As always, COMPLETELY FREE ENTRY. Music from 8:30 pm. 18+.

PICKY NEW PROMOTIONS AND UON STUDENT LIFE ARE VERY PROUD TO PRESENT BRIGHTON’S TWANG-POP POST YACHT-ROCK SOFT PSYCHERS HUTCH AT THE GARIBALDI HOTEL FOR A COMPLETELY FREE LIVE MUSIC FRIDAY SHOW ON AUG 23! Hutch, formed by Jack Pritchard (vocals and guitar), Dan Shepherd (vocals and guitar), Charlie Bogg (vocals and bass), and Owen Bullock (vocals and drums), had their live debut in 2021 followed by an astounding first year, releasing three singles, picking up a strong organic following, hitting the festival circuit, receiving BBC and international radio attention, making the Glastonbury longlist 2022, and selling out both of their headline shows. 2023 took Hutch on tour, taking their Brighton-crafted twang to all new cities and audiences across the UK and Europe. In early 2024, they released their debut EP, ‘Smile and Wave,’ suffused with child-like whimsy - snails, rainbows, wintry lakes, and radiator shops rank high among the band's subject matters of choice. “Hutch airily reject the well-trodden path of disillusionment and choose instead to hone in on life’s elemental joys.” Hard of Hearing “Leaving you with a smile that’s hard to remove." So Young "There's nothing unpretentious or over the top about Hutch, they're just playing good music to good people." Clunk "Wistful vocals and a wide-eyed sense of wonder." Shindig! "A glorious technicolour explosion." Wax “Ultimately we’re left grinning from ear to ear having witnessed a band as good as ‘Rumours’-era Fleetwood Mac.” - Nick Mcallister, Brighton Source Main support comes from Milton Keynes-based Earthworm, an indie/folk rock band, who formed in 2023, after singer/guitarist Selina met the other band members through the popular local consortium of bands Headcharge Club. While Selina listened to a lot of different music growing up, she takes inspiration from her favourite genres dream pop and shoegaze, obvious influences in her music. Earthworm have released one single so far, 'Earthworm,' and will release a second single soon. Opening is Milton Keynes-to-Brighton transplant, singer-songwriter Georgina Wilson. As always, COMPLETELY FREE ENTRY. Music from 8:30 pm. 18+.
