I am telling you now a story so sad, but at the same time so romantic. The story happened a long time ago, no one knows how long, but I like you to know it... There was once a very rich girl, who fell in love with a poor Berber. He worked hard, he would do anything to serve the people, and his kindness stole the girl's heart. She was a real Arab who was crossing the desert with her family. One day her horse got injured and she fell badly in the sand. He saw everything that was happening and ran like crazy to help her. He didn't even dare to look her in the eyes. He only thought that he didn't deserve to look at her beauty, so he turned his face to the ground. The girl was in great pain, she couldn't walk anymore and the Berber nomads took her in to protect her from the heat. He offered to take her in his arms. Gently she said 'yes'. She had the voice of an angel. The poor Berber knew that never again in his life would he fall in love with a woman as he was doing now. The girl's heart beat very hard when she looked into the eyes of the strong young man. His skin was a bit tanned, his arms were very strong and masculine, because of the hard work he did. She dreamed thousands of dreams, but understood that it would go from dreams. She would have to marry a cousin of her father, and like a true wise girl, she would obey... The poor Berber understood, and would leave alone in the desert, he would suffer alone. The girl could not forget her berber, and she would run away. She would like to share her life with him... When she learned that he left, and that she would never see him again in her life, she was seriously heartbroken. Every evening she would be there, in the mountains, calling his name. She would be there, all her life, calling his name, to no avail. Through the many tears she shed for her lost love, the Ouzoud waterfalls in Marrakech were created. The Berber man drew a heart in the sand every day, because his heart was fighting only for her. One day, he returned to see her again, and he found her at the waterfalls. They got married and left together in the desert of Merzouga... Want to hear more? Contact: @planet.trek.travel #desert #waterfall #love

📍Akchour waterfalls are located in the Rif Mountains in Talasssemtane National Park a short distance from Chefchaouen and named from the little town of Akchour. The two main waterfalls are connected by a bridge called God’s Bridge and along the trail you will find several other waterfalls, where each of them has a deep swimming hole. Your hike along the trail will take you to many beautiful sights. There are trails to the lower falls and the upper falls, each taking about 2 to 4 hours but a very manageable trail and stopping along the way for a refreshing dip in the swimming holes will make this an unforgettable day away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 📷 @natalie_schnat4 #akchour #chefchaouen #visitmorocco #inmorocco #moroccotours #instatravel #moroccotravel #morocco #outdoors #nature #water #summer

Discover Morocco's Blue washed city. Chefchaouen or Chauen is known as the "blue" city in northwest Morocco situated in the Rif mountains, located inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1947` by Moorish exiles from Spain. Its blue-glazed houses and buildings are a tradition that comes from the town's former Jewish population. Chefchaouen was known as one of the main concentrations of moriscos and Jews who sought refuge in this mountainous city after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. Moulay Ali Ben Moussa Ben Rached El Alami and the exiles used the fortress of Chefchaouen to fight off the invading Portuguese who were entering Morocco from the North in 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco. 📸 @chefchaouen_streets #chefchawen #chefchaouen #chaouen #bluecity #bluecitymorocco #discoverchefchaouen #oldcities #mustravel #travelbucklist #moroccotours #moroccotravel #moroccotraveldesigner #tanger #morocco #moroccotrip #visitmorocco #instatravel #inmorocco
