✌🏻🏝yeah we out here havin fun // under that warm California sun ☀️🎶
And by we, I mean me and all my friends.
And by friends, I mean plants.
And by plants, I mean…..
my lovely Alocasia Dragon Tooth !!! aka “hardy elephant ears” and I get that elephants are chill and all but why would you go by 🐘👂🏽 (elephant ear/코끼리 귀) when your other name is 🐉 🦷(dragon tooth/용이빨) 🤔 ???
ngl I’m hella proud for not killin this dude yet.
bruh is tough. picky. a toootal complainer. The light needs to be bright and indirect AND the humidity on fleek. Sl I had him uncovered in a fish tank WITH a pebble tray for a few weeks to boost the humidity, and that kept him satisfied. But I decided to move him over to leca since that’s what all the plantparents seem to be doing these days.
#Leca is legit. These little clay balls trick your plant into growing into the air spaces between them, drawn towards the little layer of water at the bottom. Honestly still baffled how this works, with so little water actually in the glass. #Science is #crazy people.
In order to transition to Leca, you gotta clean them roots. You can see what the roots looked like in soil, and then after I cleaned them under my hose. Yes you will get wet, and soily 😷💦 but it’s fun and rewarding
Anywho, I’m hoping this keeps you happy my alocasia friend. Naming you 힘든용이빨 (tough dragon tooth) 💪🏼🐲🦷
