Cabo has been the oldest dog at several of his most recent scent work trials and is proof that there are some super senior sniffers earning titles. No matter their age, dogs experience the world through their sense of smell and the reason why many compete in this sport. During a scent work trial, the dog is in charge. Their nose will lead them to a hidden cotton swab doused with essential oils or with the owner’s scent and they’ll have to communicate its location to complete a successful trial.
