Hello everybody 😅 This is Nisha and Abitha from PRANI trust. Animals have been an integral part of our lives even before we officially registered our trust. Our interest extends beyond feeding animals- we attend to sick, accident, emergency, owned but neglected, orphaned and injured animals in need. We are also actively involved in sterilization of street dogs and cats in our capacity. . Despite putting in much effort for over 100 rescues and 500+ sterilizations there is one thing we both failed to do- To record videos or photos when we do the whole driving, rescuing and treating an animal 🙈 We both aren’t tech savvy and suck at making regular reels. . This is the first time that we are putting up our faces on this page for our small family of 407 followers to know us 😅 We hope to reach a wider audience that will help us continue the work we are doing. We hope to be regular in updating about our rescues! . We extend our heartfelt Mother’s Day wishes to all women rescuers, feeders, vets, vet assistants and volunteers. Here’s to us touching the lives of many more fur kids! 🤗 . #PRANI #mothersday #animalrescue #india #chennai #chennairescuer #motherstofurbabies

Blacky, a community cat, faced a critical moment after her spay surgery when she suddenly stopped eating. We rushed to save her, the vet diagnosed her with acute kidney issues, and we were heartbroken to hear that her recovery would be incredibly challenging, with the possibility that she might not pull through. Determined to give her the best possible care, we admitted her to a renowned private clinic. The dedicated doctors there provided Blacky with the utmost care, and against all odds, they revived her kidneys back to normal. With immense relief and joy, we released Blacky back into her territory, where she happily reunited with her kittens. Now, we are raising Rs. 8000 for her tests and treatment. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be immensely helpful. We can share the bills for transparency. Thank you for your support.

Facing the grim grip of Feline Panleukopenia Virus, this resilient 4-month-old kitten overcame the odds. Initially lethargic - stopped eating, vomiting, and loose stools. Undeterred, we embarked on a rigorous routine—IV fluids and medication twice daily. Our little warrior responded to treatment, this cutie defied the deadly virus, reclaiming playfulness and appetite. Kudos to this feline hero! 🌟 #FelineFighter #resilienceprevails

Bora was abandoned by his so called humans who dropped him on the streets and rushed off in their car. He was seen running behind the car before he gave up. The territorial dogs in the area had badly bitten him, a feeder noticed him and sent him for treatment to a popular shelter/hospital in Chennai. On release to his territory after treatment from the shelter/hospital, Bora exhibited distressing symptoms—persistent sneezing, bloody diarrhea, and loss of appetite. Seeking urgent aid, his feeder reached out to us and we took him to BMAD where he was diagnosed with the deadly Canine Distemper. The CD had spread to him from the previous shelter/hospital through their other (likely) affected dogs as a cross infection! We are taking him to clinics twice a day for IV fluids. We have started his immunoglobulin shots on alternative 3 days each of which costs 1200 each. We are raising 6000 for his treatment and transportation. . Kindly donate, share, support and Pray for Bora. QR code can be scanned for donations🙏🏼
