✔️ Create greatness during the shoot. Retouching is not emergency aid, and reviving a poor source is a bad idea. So don’t forget the simple rule: what takes the makeup artist 5 minutes to fix, may take the retoucher an hour – don’t make enemies for yourself))
✔️ Prepare the skin for makeup. This stage is crucial. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize to ensure makeup textures look perfect, and the skin appears healthy.
✔️ If there are other body parts in the frame besides the face, never neglect them. Neck, ears, hands – everything should be made up.
✔️ Blend at the edges. Makeup shouldn’t sharply end, revealing the boundaries of untouched skin. Remember: extend everything to the hairline and neck.
✔️ Choose makeup textures wisely. Powerful flashlights don’t forgive mistakes. Remember: before the shoot, coordinate basic elements with the team, such as whether the skin will have a matte or glowing base. It’s impossible to paint a sparkling skin over a matte one!
