Today marks one year since being chosen as Mister Supranational Philippines 2022.
It has been a roller coaster and a wonderful journey!
A journey of love, trust, friendship, betrayal, believing in yourself, and most importantly: strengthening your faith.
Part of me was overwhelmed and hurt, which led me to decide to run far away to heal myself and find myself again. I remember those days on the bus, asking myself, teary eyed sometimes, feeling lost and confused about what I truly want in life and if this is the right decision . However deep inside, I felt at peace talking to God, knowing that no matter where I would go, just trust the process and it would be for my own good.
I still remember those days when I was feeling down, coming home and feeling alone, wishing someone would ask if I'm okay or if I needed help.
After some time passed, I started to see the bigger picture and said, "Lord, you for everything and thank you for those challenges that helped me understand that I needed to be here to understand myself more, to help my mother in her dark moments, and to rebuild myself to be a better version of myself. I'm glad that I discovered what truly fulfills me and pursued my calling."
I've learned from this journey to protect myself because not all people have pure intentions. I've also learned to be strong, positive, and always open my doors to people who are sincere and kind.
I am grateful to you, Lord, for giving me a wonderful mother, for strengthening my relationship with my siblings and father, and for helping me believe in myself again. Thank you for the friends who lent me a hand in my dark moments.
Thank you so much to all of you who supported me and believed in me during my journey.
My advice to all is to never give up on your dreams, and if you lose your way, remember to pray. Life is full of surprises, and if today is a challenging day, tomorrow will bring sunlight.
Always check on your friends and family and ask them if they are truly okay.
Remember, it's okay not to be okay! And your dreams are valid!
This wont be the last of me and I’m excited for my upcoming journey 😉
