Its important, the world needs an immediate and permanent cease fire in gaza, emergency flow of humanitarian aid into the area, and for the release of all detainees and hostages held by both sides. Moving forward, the Israeli state must systemocally grant full civil rights including passports to all palestineans, civilian or not, and all walls, barriers, and checkpoints should be dismantled. Startring w most recent and those that still have keys, homes should be returned to families, and those who are guilty of war crimes need to be arrested and processed. As a socialist I don't think that ehtnostates are compatible with democracy, and the "nationalist socialism" of capitalist protected economies, including full health coverage and higher education for Israelis, is similar to the national socialism of the 20th century, including the imperialism in Africa and the eugenics, which is despicable perversion of the true socialism which is international and of all working people. A free Palestine would change the world by bolstering global freedom and liberation movements and challenging the division of the world by presenting an end game against imperialist power. The imperialist underpinnings of it from the Balfour declaration to the Nakba are a case study in imperialism. Global capitalist interests staunchly remain in support of sustaining Israel's occupation and this looks like a lot of things from Western governments and multinational corporations providing military aid to major American businesses profiting enableing the oppression of palestinians. This song is our outcry. A moment to register our distance from our national leaders directly enabling the crisis. We keep Palestine in mind during our process and wish for them that one day the noises of the guns and bombs cease and be replaced w the crashing waves, the air kissing the leaves of the olive trees, children playing, the a high speed rail stop on the ankra cairo line, and of course, the joy of music.
