My first ever 100 kilometer race. 62 miles. Brutal 90+ degree summer heat. 🥵🔥 All on city streets/sidewalks around NYC boroughs Start time: 5am. End time: 8:15pm. Third place overall female!!! 🥉 The most insanely amazing friends who kept me cool, kept me fed, lifted me out of dark moments, created motivational videos for me, pushed me when I needed to be pushed, laughed when their shoes got vomited on, told me “this is definitely the final uphill” 18 times, and never left my side for 15+ hours. Not to mention being insane athletes themselves, taking turns biking, running, and walking crazy amounts of miles next to me in the heat themselves. @sydneysmith812 @mrsanjayr @dr.joelipsky @holamarco you are all my heroes Thank you @tgny100 @pmccarthy23 for an epic race

When you’re pumped to run a 100k ultramarathon in peak summer heat, but your friends are mentally drafting your eulogy 😂🏃‍♀️ (PS - how amazing is @sydneysmith812 for making this course map for me!!!) #UltraLife #HeatstrokeHero #TeamCrayZ

Strategies for surviving a hot summer long run (from my trip to Southern Spain): ✨ selfie breaks (it’s not your fault you have to walk for a sec, it’s for the ‘gram!) ✨ Oohing and aahing over beaches, boats, cute dogs, anything really ✨ kissing breaks (dependent on your running partner 🤣) ✨ SNACKS. Personally my main motivation for any run. The thought of a cold Coca-Cola or an ice cream can pretty much get me through any long run! Stay cool and safe out there!

✨👟 Well that was magical! 👟✨ It’s not every day you get to run with an elite athlete who took first place at the NYC & SF Marathons and second place at the Boston & Chicago Marathons. @calcalamia you are a sparkling, beautiful soul and an incredible runner. Thank you for being such an ambassador for this beautiful sport, a champion for non-binary athletes everywhere, and an inspiration to all of us! Cal has a beautiful short documentary film out now called Out of the Dark and we should all be keeping our eyes on this incredible athlete and human ❤️💪

Interrupting my regular running content to celebrate a different type of endurance sport - building a company and taking it public! After 17 years of building, @life360 went public on the @nasdaq today! I joined the board of directors during the pandemic upon the recommendation of my brilliant friend @brit and have since used the site every single day to give my teenager more independence, track runners during races, help my friends feel safer, and find my loved ones more easily. What a full circle moment to stand in Times Square with the team, as a US publicly traded company, after ringing the opening bell! Congrats to CEO and founder extraordinaire @christopherhulls and the entire team on this major milestone. Today we celebrate - and tomorrow we get back to work! #Life360

FORE the memories! We met playing golf during the pandemic and made a pact to take a “bros golf trip” together every year. 36 holes at Pinehurst (in one day!) later, we’re still so very terrible at golf, but excellent at making memories! We laughed, we cursed, we drank, we danced, and we lost a lot of good balls out there. But whenever I spend time with @adeelyang @nglouminati @sean_mason_sf , I am always reminded that friendship is the real ace in the hole. ⛳️❤️

When @tootallforotf said he wanted to run 30 miles before his 30th birthday, that was all the enabling we needed to sign up for an ultramarathon. After all, who needs a calm birthday when you can run 33 miles up a mountain, cursing and questioning all your life decisions? 🏃‍♂️There were tears. I was lovingly told to go F myself 🤣. And an aggressive cutoff time had more than half the field of 200+ runners not finishing. (I made the cutoff with four minutes to spare and was proud to be one of only 15 women to do so (and one of only 3 40+ women!) But every step was a reminder of what amazing athletes my friends are and the magic that happens when you surround yourself with people who believe you can do big things. Turns out, running all day is the perfect way to celebrate a birthday... if you’re slightly insane. 😜 The biggest cheers to Nick for inspiring us to push our limits…and to all of us for surviving it! Barely! 🎉 Next year: maybe we just do brunch? 🥂🍳 @murrclurr_ @jasmine.s.felix @holamarco @ultrasignup @trialsofmilesracing

Yesterday I did (or maybe I should say, survived) comprehensive metabolic testing on the treadmill with @lanceaparker @dr.joelipsky and it was a truly eye-opening experience! 👀 I have several super long trail runs/races coming up and understanding my body’s unique response to exercise with real-time data was well worth the suffering of running at max incline 🤣. I learned about my optimal heart rate zones, VO2 max, and exactly HOW INEFFICIENTLY I burn fat and carbs 🤦🏻‍♀️. I am a huge data lover and can’t wait to dive into all the numbers to see how to optimize my training this summer and beyond! LFG! 💪
