Understanding Cordyceps: Origins, Benefits, and Uses Cordyceps is a genus of parasitic fungi known for its diverse species and medicinal properties. Originating from the high-altitude regions of Tibet and China, cordyceps have been utilized in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. These fungi are particularly renowned for their purported ability to enhance energy levels, improve athletic performance, and boost immunity. Cordyceps contain bioactive compounds like cordycepin, polysaccharides, and adenosine, which contribute to their pharmacological effects. Research suggests that cordyceps may possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties, making them a subject of interest in modern medicine. Moreover, cordyceps have been explored for their potential in treating respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic bronchitis, as well as for their role in supporting kidney health and regulating blood sugar levels. In addition to their medicinal uses, cordyceps are also employed in culinary preparations, with certain species considered delicacies in Asian cuisine. However, despite their potential health benefits, further scientific investigation is needed to fully elucidate the mechanisms of action and therapeutic efficacy of cordyceps. Notes: - Energy boost: Cordyceps enhances stamina and vitality. - Athletic performance: Studies show it improves endurance and oxygen use. - Immune support: Strengthens immunity, lowering infection risk. - Respiratory health: Alleviates asthma and bronchitis symptoms. - Blood sugar regulation: Helps manage glucose levels, aiding diabetes. - Kidney support: Improves kidney function traditionally. - Antioxidant: Combats oxidative stress. - Anti-inflammatory: Reduces inflammation. - Potential anticancer: Early research suggests anticancer properties. — @DoollyNoted | Things Worth Noting ✏️ #cordyceps #mushrooms #fungiofinstagram

Garden Fresh Gourmet Organic Jack’s Cantina Medium Salsa USDA Organic - IDK This stuff always catches my eye at Costco, but hesitant to try. I see that they add “water” to it, but don’t specify what type of water. Tap Water? Filtered? Purified? RO? Why even add water? I mean, tomatoes are practically water. Also, I noticed that the item is also from Detroit. I can’t say I trust the water in that state because of the issues they’ve had over the years. In this day and age, prefer distilled. Trying to avoid heavy metals, PFAS, fluoride, etc. Picky eater? Research everything? Yeah.. Lol. #organicsalsa #gardenfresh #jackscantina

Steak and Beer About $30 LOL | Price Gouge Food I could’ve got a 24 pack and a better, thicker cut of meat for about the same price, give or take a few bucks. I do like this place. It’s probably overpriced because of the location, and all the fancy whatever decor, I don’t know, but jeez. Just wanted a quick bite and leave. Why no sides? I try to limit pesticide intake, plus I have organic vegetables at home. #steakandbeer #overpriced #pricegouging

Katsu Chicken Dinner | Hawaiian Food Need this at least a few times a month. 🤤 Delights of Katsu Chicken: A Culinary Journey Katsu chicken is a popular Japanese dish consisting of breaded and fried chicken cutlets, typically served with rice, shredded cabbage, and a savory sauce like tonkatsu or curry sauce. It’s known for its crispy exterior and tender interior. Here are some vital points about it: 1. Preparation: The chicken is usually pounded thin, then coated with flour, egg, and panko breadcrumbs before frying, which gives it its signature crispy texture. 2. Variations: While traditional katsu chicken is made with chicken breast, some variations use thigh meat for extra juiciness. Additionally, there are vegetarian versions made with tofu or seitan. 3. Serving: It’s often served with a side of rice, shredded cabbage, and a tangy tonkatsu sauce, made from Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and other ingredients. Curry sauce is another popular option. 4. Origins: Katsu chicken is believed to have originated in Japan in the late 19th or early 20th century, inspired by Western-style breaded meats. 5. Popularity: It’s widely enjoyed both in Japan and around the world, with variations and adaptations to suit different tastes and dietary preferences. 6. Health Considerations: While delicious, katsu chicken is typically high in calories and fat due to the frying process. However, it can be made healthier by using lean cuts of chicken and opting for baking instead of frying. — @DoollyNoted | Things Worth Noting ✏️ #KatsuChicken #JapaneseDish #JapaneseCuisine #BreadedChicken #FriedChicken #TonkatsuSauce #CurrySauce #ChickenBreast #ThighMeat #TofuKatsu #SeitanChicken #Rice #Tonkatsu #CurrySauceRecipe #Origins #JapaneseFoodCulture #GlobalCuisine #Popularity #FoodTrends #HealthyEating #LeanProtein #CalorieCount #FatContent #BakingVsFrying #Crispy #Tender #SavoryFlavors #FoodLovers #Foodie #FriedChickenLover
