I used to think vacation and summer meant strict dieting and minimal eating, but I’m here to tell you that indulgence and enjoying your food is a really important part of your wellness. I’ve learned the hard way that skipping meals will only lead to prolonged hunger, which creates a much bigger challenge to make well balanced and healthy choices. Reminder that your food is your fuel, so eat when you’re hungry and choose foods that nourish and energize you. For me that means prioritizing protein and having fat and a carb with every meal. I have to bribe myself to drink more water because it’s very important. And I try to breathe and get into rest and digest before eating because my body is hypervigilant around food due to serve allergies I’ve grown up with. All meals featured from the all inclusive package at @hotelmousai —thank you for an amazing stay and having me for wellness week 🧡
