Over the past few months, Jason has dined at a series of immigrant restaurants in the greater D.C. area and interviewed their owners.

My dad would have turned 85 today. This was taken in Napa in probably 1960 or 1961, soon after he arrived to the U.S. from Iran.
Dad was fun, mischievous, intensely loyal, really good at finding things and utterly human. If you knew him you are hopefully better for it.
