A painters’ shared workspace! Our Stonetown Arts group have booked out our Shared Workspace Wednesday seats for the month of April. What a great idea! #workingtogether
Join the circle on Sunday May 5th from 4-6pm at Riverwalk Commons to commemorate Red Dress Day (MMIWG2S - the national day of awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirited People). @kaswentha_tworownow will host Luke Nicholas, knowledge sharer from Oneida (Turtle Clan).
Red Dress Day began in 2010 and was inspired by a Métis-Cree artist, Jamie Black, based in Winnipeg. The artist hung hundreds of empty red dresses in public places to represent missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and to bring awareness to the issue.
Come to learn and honour those we have lost.
