These are my go-to single pot dinner recipes because when I cook, I make sure it’s fast and furious😅. Like imagine, you don’t have to chop even onion. Recipe: 4-5 whistles of black lentils and white rajma- (add salt and cooked to mashy) Heat up a spoon of oil and add ginger – garlic paste. Add red chilli powder and sauté Had tomato purée and let it cook completely Add a spoon @roopakspices makhani dal masala for the authentic taste and sauté well. Add the cooked lentils+water+butter+fresh cream and cook. CURRY READY🥰 Will you try this recipe??

One Pot Punjabi Chole🌼🌿 For this recipe I have used @roopakspices Punjabi Chollay Masala. Roopak has been known for their wide range of spices since 1958. Go check their page and grab amazing range of spice and much more! Recipe: 2 cups boiled chana 3 cups tea water Whole spices- tej patta, 3 green elaichi,1 black elaich, 1 inch cinnamon 2 inch ginger Add all the above ingredients in a pressure cooker and boil for 5-6 whistles on low flame. Take oil in a pan, add 2 dry red chillies, ginger julienne 2 tbsp, 3 slit green chillies, 2 boiled potatoes, 1 onion rings, 1 tomato cut lengthwise,cook all of this for 4-5 mins on high flame. Add the above masala to boiled chana. Add @roopakspices chollay masala - 3 tbsp, 1 tsp Kashmiri mirch, black salt to taste and coriander leaves. Tuesday Leftover Makeover . I got back home around 8 and did a quick recce of the fridge. Swipe to see a picture of what I found. . The children were happy to have Cutlets (I wonder why) and the Dal Dosas again. However, after having eaten the remnants of our Sunday lunch for 2 more days, @mcsachin was ready for something else. . I decided to toss the leftover Rice with the Vankaya Pachadi with a tempering that included Peanuts and Sesame and make a Kalanda Saadam of sorts. . I sautéed some Onion Tomato paste with @roopakspices Dal Makhani Masala and @maggiindia Masala-e-Magic and added the leftover Dosakaya Pappu to it. When everything had cooked together for 4-5 minutes, I added a tablespoon of @bullafamilydairy Cream and continued to simmer the Dal for a couple of minutes. . I made some Parathas with the mixed vegetable Paratha dough. With the Cutlets and Curd, it looked like a full fledged Thali . And just like that, we had a meal that was different from what I cooked on Sunday. One that didn’t feel like “leftovers”. . Kadhi Pakoda . We had an early start to the day as Mr. 12 had a full day engagement. I was hoping to drop by Murugan Idli Shop or MTR for breakfast but none of these places was open at that hour. . So we got back and ate random stuff for Breakfast. I asked @mcsachin what he’d like for lunch and he said “Kadhi Chawal” without missing a heartbeat. He also suggested Khichdi - Kadhi as an alternative. But I’d already started planning Kadhi Pakoda in my head. So there wasn’t any going back. . I blended all the ingredients for the Kadhi in my @kenstarindia blender. Using the @boschhomesg stick blender with the grater attachment, I grated Carrots, Potatoes, Onions and Zucchini. I added the spices and Besan with Rice Flour and Salt and placed dollops of the batter on a lined Cookie sheet and baked them at 200C/400F for 20 minutes. When done, I transferred them to the air fryer with a coating of Oil while I baked the second batch. . I made the Kadhi using @roopakspices Punjabi Kadi Masala. I almost considered making this in the @instantpotsingapore to make it a no stove top meal, but since we all love the second tempering for which I have to turn on the stove anyway, I made the Kadhi on the stove top. . I made a quick Jeera Matar Chawal in the @instantpotsingapore and then added the Pakodas to the Kadhi. Everything got a garnish of Coriander and I sliced some Cucumber and Cherry Tomatoes because Salads are a must. . It was a lovely meal and I know that a full meal such as this is possible even if I run out of gas. The baked/airfried Pakodas are not the best for snacking on, but are brilliant for soaking up the Kadhi! . I only needed a nice nap after this meal, but that wasn’t to be. Wednesday Dinner . @mcsachin ’s colleagues came to dinner last evening and I cooked a meal. It was a working day, so I took all the short cuts that I know to put together this meal. . For the starters, I put together a Cheese Board, some Vegetable Crudités with Sour Cream and Onion dip and @haldiraminternational Hara Bhara Kebab. . For the mains, I made my 3C3G Pulao in the @instantpotsingapore using @lazah.egy mixed vegetables. Pulao and Makhani are a match made in heaven and given that I always have a stash of my Tomato Onion paste and @roopakstores Tandoori Chicken Masala and Butter Chicken Masala, it came together very quickly. . I also made some Chhole with @roopakstores Punjabi Chhole Masala. Since I didn’t know what spice levels might be acceptable to our guests, I made a gravy similar to what I make for Methi Matar Malai but added Paneer instead, making it a Matar Paneer Malai! . And to amp up the vegetable quotient of the meal, I made some sautéed Green Beans with Garlic and Cayenne Pepper. We also toasted some @tyjfood Spring Home Onion Parathas because I love such gravies with these Parathas! . For dessert, I decided to make Carrot Cashew Kheer. I pressure cooked some @woolworths_au frozen Carrots with Cashews. Then, I blended it with Milk and Condensed Milk in the @ninjakitchensg Nutri Ninja. I heated the mixture with some Saffron. This was a tasty, not too sweet, mild Kheer. I am seriously considering making it again for my next Pandigai Saapadu. Tomorrow! . I enjoyed putting this meal together. While there were many steps, it felt effortless for the most part.
