At our @excelinmotion Danvers, MA event I decided to have a little fun with my performance…. I had @petersabasino go in the audience and have them suggest where my movement was going to come from for this onstage improv. Whatever body parts the audience suggested that’s where I would have to initiate from. It was quite the ride and very fun! Our weekly faculty “move” was thrown in a few times. This young dancer here popped into my classes about a year ago and I love that I keep seeing her at events I’m at. This was from summer 2023 at @movetheinitiative and I loved each and every time she approached this movement. She works so extremely hard mentally and physically to obtain what teachers are looking for while discovering herself as well. She has a bright future! For some it’s hard and for some people will give subtle hints that they are reaching out. But I wanted to end this piece with the notion that if we find stillness, breathe, trust ourselves, and look within and give ourselves that self love that we can find our way through on our own. I had to share this jazz piece I did with my students at @bbdcnatick last season! We had so much fun putting this one together!
