#R325 Henna Sky is a #RoscoGel commonly used and well-loved by theatrical designers around the world. But did you know it was originally conceived on a film set? This Maraschino Cherry-colored gel was created on the set of the TV Series “Las Vegas,” but it was a conversation with @herrick_ld in Cape Cod that gave this “tasty reddish-pink” color its name. #LightingDesigner Sherrice Mojgani (ojgimama) told us her story about how she “would have loved to have used an African-inspired breakup pattern” during a recent production but couldn’t find any #RoscoGobos that met her needs. To celebrate the #SummerSolstice , we’re reflecting on Jessica Winward’s (@jessicawinward.lightingdesign ) stunning #LightingDesign for @cmudrama ’s production of #ALittleNightMusic . To create the pastel summer sky, she used #CalColor Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow #RoscoGels .

Back in 2020 #LightingDesigner Brandon Stirling Baker (@stirlingbaker ) in collaboration with Alan Edwards used Custom Black & White #RoscoGobos to project a series of images onto the interior surfaces of a historic barn in the @Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, NY. The #LightInstallation , entitled “In Light: Of The Time,” included projected art and poetry that expressed the impact police violence had, and continues to have, on the BIPOC community.

#RoscoAmbassador Cha See (@seethruuu ) proudly facilitated the onstage debut of our #DMGMAXI at @publictheaterny ! Cha was faced with a unique need for #FilmLighting fixtures to be used on stage as both practical lights and props for actors to interact with. The production, JORDANS, primarily takes place in a video studio setting where one character manages all technical aspects. Cha found the DMG MAXI to be the perfect #FilmLight because it is lightweight, user-friendly, and packed with color options to enhance her #LightingDesign . 150 #XEffects LED HO Projectors played a key role in bringing @theblueparadox to life! #LightingDesigner @benjamnn1 worked with Rosco to create custom effects gobos that perfectly match the sun’s natural reflections on the ocean’s surface.
