“The Golem and Other Tales” is OUT!!! Music tells stories, and that is what we have endeavored to explore with this new record. Side A features five compositions drawing on jazz, folk, fugue, and more. Side B features “The Golem,” a through-composed tone poem telling the story of a clay man brought to life. Stream and download in all the normal places. Vinyl and CD is available for purchase online and in record stores worldwide. You can also “experience” the golem suite in its entirety while following along with the story on a specially-designed web app. Links in stories. Big thanks to all our friends, family and supporters. Can’t wait for you all to hear this music! Long live the Human Hands!

The Band and Levon Helm have been at the center of my musical inspiration for as long as I can remember. I love all sorts of music for different reasons, but in terms of pure soul and emotion you really can’t beat The Band. If you don’t get goosebumps or shed a tear watching Levon sing “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” on the last waltz, you are missing some fundamental gene in your DNA. Levon and The Band tapped into the deepest part of music. Mariah and I often say we cant casually listen to The Band because it’s such and emotional experience. I have to decide if I’m ready to go there when I put it on, or else I’d have to pull the car over. It’s just so deep, soulful and heart wrenching. I don’t know what it is but they found it, and it’s absolutely devastating. Thanks to @samgrismanproject for bringing me up there to play to a packed house two nights in a row and @owensphoto.co for documenting this very special occasion.

Delighted to present “Lunatico,” the latest single from the Human Hands. The song owes its name to one of our favorite music venues, @barlunatico , which has hosted so many Human Hands concerts over the years. I think this recording really captures that special feeling of a hot summer’s night in Brooklyn… Super proud of the amazing musical contributions of everyone involved. Stream and add to your summertime playlists today! Link in bio. The Human Hands are putting out a new record and the first single is out NOW!! Stream “Ancient Technology” and pre-order “The Golem and Other Tales” today via link in bio. Due for release on June 21st, the album features a through-composed suite of music based on the Jewish legend of a clay man brought to life—alongside five other short compositions. “Ancient Technology” is one of the latter. Hard to believe it’s been six years since the Human Hands released “Too Hot To Sleep.” Since then, it’s been exciting to watch as everyone’s path has taken them in amazing directions. To be able to gather (and expand) this incredible musical family for a new recording was a total thrill and an honor: Alex Hargreaves (violin), Eddie Barbash (saxophone), Duncan Wickel (violin, cello, and bouzouki), Dominick Leslie (mandolin), Roy Williams (guitar), and Andrew Ryan (bass). Jon Seale and Jacob Blumberg recorded and co-produced this project with me at Mason Jar Music in Brooklyn. “The Golem and Other Tales” will be available on compact disc and a deluxe vinyl package featuring original artwork by Brooklyn-based artist Andrew Benincasa. So, so, so excited for you to hear this crazy cool music! @andrewry.n @amerika_runz_on_duncan @alexhargreaves.music @domles @eddiebarbash @roywilliamsmusic @sonofcloudmusic @freedirtrecords @andrewbenincasa @masonjarmusic

Huge thanks to @jacob.jolliff and @tal_yahalom for being a part of the first Round Up in barn. These guys killed it and then hung out and jammed all night like champs. Quality hangs with two of the greats. The studio is downstairs from this so we captured a great, quality recording of the night. More to come…
