Inspired by the line drawings of abstract expressionist Egon Schiele and surrealists Remedios Varo and René Magritte, Singer created a series of his own drawings abstracted portraits and deconstructed heads, which he called “Metaphysical Heads.” These drawings formed the foundation for the colors, fabrics, and textures of the collection.
