A lonely dog buys a robot as a friend… but when they become separated, life takes them both in extraordinary directions. But can they be reunited..? This is BRILLIANT. Beyond brilliant. Beautifully told, with no dialogue, I’ve rarely cared so much about two characters. It’s so clever, it keeps refusing to be the story you expect. And the ending is… well, I’ll think about that ending forever, it’s so nuanced and wise and sad and yet happy too. Incredible storytelling. Exquisite. A thing of beauty. Directed and written by Pablo Berger from a graphic novel by @sara.varon . Oh that ending!! 🥺

Epic and fun and beautifully staged (one song, where a couple strip off and go to bed while New York revolves around them is one of the most astonishing things I’ve ever seen).
