My mom - the epitome of woman, life, freedom. She is my greatest lover and my greatest teacher. From protesting the streets of Tehran in the 70s, to asking me “why didn’t you get a 105?” when I got a 100 on a math quiz - she embraces the never give up spirit. A single mom raising three kids in a new country, not easy, but she changed our stars forever. Her name means moon, but she is my lion. My lion in the moonlight. There really is no other woman that compares to Iranian women, but there is no one like my mom. I am forever grateful. The monarch. I’m glad I chose you. Happy birthday momma ❤️
