Big cities can look so busy but also make us feel so lonely sometimes. But never forget: There are so many people feeling like you too, you aren‘t alone! 🫶🏽

I accidentally sensed an interesting mood in one of the voice messages from my friend who lives in Kyiv
It seemed to me that there were so many emotions in this short message and in the tone of the voice at the same time
She says: there is no electricity. Another air raid alert. I’m sitting on the last charge of my laptop and phone, by candlelight, eating and watching a TV series.
It reminded me of my feelings at the beginning of the invasion, and for some reason, I felt like doing something about it
But I decided not to complicate things and did something simple yet atmospheric. So, I added bass, downloaded a drum sample from Splice, and played some music.
And then I played around with the sampled voice for variety, but at the same time to remind of the context

I believe that all dreams come true.
But often, the cost is heavy.
The realization comes later.
My dream was to find myself in an unknown place and rebuild myself anew.
To reset, feel, and immerse. But I never dreamed specifically of Berlin.
And perhaps now, it is truly the best «place to be».
I will never fall in love with this flat labyrinth of buildings, but that’s for the best, as I can leave without sorrow or nostalgia.
However, I will come out of this changed.
