Wow, It’s here, The Moon is in the Wrong Place, May 10th 2024. LABOR OF LOVE has never felt like a more accurate description of anything I’ve ever been a part of before this. The desire to make music in order to process the loss of Joe came immediately and powerfully like a bolt of lightning. Making these songs was nonnegotiable, a universe sized knot we needed to untie with haste. I can say this with more confidence than anything I have ever said in my life, I love this album. Every single song is infused with every single feeling we have encountered since August 16th 2022. Before all this I didn’t realize how much depth grief has, how many colors, how much I could learn from it and how much beauty I could find there. I am so proud of my band and grateful for their talents and friendship. I’m so appreciative that together, we could build this pyramid for Joe. Thank you so much to the Haener’s, our family, friends and fans. Here’s a look back at some of our fondest memories making the record.

Our first single/music video is the title track to the album and it refers to something Joe said to me shortly before his passing. He asked me if ‘the moon was in the wrong place’ which was his way of asking what was happening ‘woowoo wise,’ like if Mercury was in retrograde, etc, because everything felt off and strange. And soon, Joe’s question ‘is the moon in the wrong place’ became a theme in all of our lives because losing him made everything incredibly off and extremely strange.
