So proud of Hattie this weekend! She was able to compete her jazz solo at Starpower. She got 1st in her category, 2nd overall, the judges explosive award and an invite to a convention back east. Thanks to @captivation_dance_affiliates for being Hattie’s second home and thanks to @haileypetersen for her jazz solo. Now that you read my novel, watch the solo 😂🥰. PS. The costume, we nailed it.

Today is International Dance Day so it’s fitting I post Hattie’s solo from this year. This girl has passion and drive and I am so grateful I am here to watch her shine. Not a day goes by where I can express my gratitude enough to the people who have helped and currently helping her along the way. So excited to watch this girl grow and shine! Thank you @captivation_dance_affiliates for giving her the best second home! Thank you @haileypetersen for choreographing the perfect song for Bugs and being the best teacher ever!

Guys! This might have been Hattie’s favorite present, one that she will treasure forever, has watched so many times now, and had some of her favorite people in it dance to her favorite song ever. It came together amazing. As she watched each one of her friends come on screen she was so excited and had to tell Sam who they were. So THANK YOU everyone who participated.
