Oh Nashville…
Thank you for giving me back to myself. Thank you for reminding me who I am. Thank you for diving into my messy heart and bringing the painful, honest and raw truth to the surface. It has been both healing and revealing in the way that only writing new music can be. Thank you Charlie and Melissa and Gabe and James and Bobby and Steph and Leland and Drew and Jess and Justin and Britten and Ali and Shayna and David and most of all to the universally beloved @drh3 for waving a magic wand and making it all happen. I knew I needed this week but I never could have known just how much. I cannot wait for you to hear this shit. Long overdue and right on time.
Our beloved Mariah ‘Mimi’ Carey Bean went out in her Mommy’s arms with a mouthful of chicken yesterday morning. She is survived by her sister Sammy and an incredible village of countless aunts, uncles and grandparents who loved and cared for her in her 16 and a half years on the planet. Mimi was known mostly for her horrible breath, her ability to outrun any human and gut a squeaky toy at record speed. She loved food of any kind, tennis balls, smelling every single blade of grass and sucking on stuffed animals. She was always gentle with children, was the great neutralizer with other dogs and made herself quite at home anywhere. Mimi visited almost all 50 states, performed on legendary stages and had more air miles than any one dog ever should. Above all other accomplishments… Mimi was the love of her Mommy’s life. She was the most flexible, adaptable, loyal, cuddly, stinky, patient and forgiving soul. In lieu of gifts (although her mom really appreciates all the flowers thank you!) please leave your Mimi memories below in the comments and send her Mommy any pictures you have. She really, really misses her. Rest well, sweet Mimi Bean. God knows you’ve earned it. Xo
‘No one asked us to do this … but we couldn’t help it, could we? There is a fragile web of belief we chase each night in these houses. It’s the only real magic accorded to us and it doesn’t come uncalled. So when it doesn’t work you gotta do it the next night and try to be better. But when it works… it can change lives. It changed mine. It’s not a job. I don’t know what it is. I know that there are people who’d like to make it a job and I think that they should be encouraged to go someplace else and maybe get one. But for us it’s a privilege. It’s an honor. And I know this is weird… but it’s a calling. It’s what I want for you. A life in the theater.’ -the great Jack O’Brien, Tony’s 2024

Drama League Awards day is my favorite day. It always makes me the most proud and grateful to do what we do and to be who we are. What a great gift to be in the sandbox with such incredible hearts, minds, and talents…It is a distinct, humbling, inspiring and indeed DISTINGUISHED honor. Thank you @dramaleague xo
Oh my beautiful girl…my heart is broken. I will always remember you like this…frozen in 1995, skipping school, riding around in the 626, playing ball, bumping Blackstreet and Keith Sweat.
I am so glad you’re finally free…
I love you LT32 ❤️🪽
