First of all, it is still surreal that I am actually doing this – playing on tour after so many years. The biggest challenge has been being patient with myself and giving myself time to regain match confidence. After six tournaments, I can finally say I’m getting there and enjoying the process along the way.
So far, I have played in six professional tournaments, starting with the first one at the beginning of April. I’ve had amazing matches and gratifying wins, but there have also been losses that turned into lessons. I am thrilled to share that I have my WTA ranking back, currently at
#1174 . A part of me dislikes seeing that number because I know my level is much higher, but I also need to appreciate how far I have come and be grateful that I regained my ranking in such a short period.
My goal is to keep playing tournaments, climb up the rankings, and try to get into the top 600 by the end of the year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through it all.
I won’t lie and say it’s an easy journey, but following your dreams and finding your own peace is worth it. Stay true to yourself and always pursue your dreams.
