Pride month is almost over and I wish they'd just shut up about us.
I haven't posted a thing about it yet but that's probably a good thing because it's felt so toxic to exist here in the UK. This election has felt like a non-stop attack on trans women, we are at the sharp end of the fake culture war that's been perpetuated by failed politicians and a failing media.
"Biological men are a danger to women" they shriek in the debates, without shame, without challenge, without allowing a single trans person to even speak.
This Pride month has seen the most powerful in our society normalise the term " ban gender ideology in schools," a dogwhistle phrase used in place of open transphobia. Are they talking about banning cisgender norms like 'Mr' or 'Miss,' boys line up on this side of the room, girls on that side? No, they're talking about a trans Section 28, they're targeting the very idea of knowing that trans people exist. And nobody is calling them out on this.
Pride month 2024 can get in the bin for all I care. I can't wait for July when they'll all shut up about trans people and we can get back to things that actually make a difference, like @transpridebrighton and @londontranspride

Two freehand fully healed legs. This has been by far my favourite project thus far. Pure freedom, solid dedication from @shotbytrendy and lots of fun designing it straight onto the skin. I am truly blessed to have such good clients who sit so well and are willing to push themselves beyond there limits. I’ll never forget these sessions with you old friend so thank you for offering up such a large amount of skin. And thank you for your dedication to this an amazing art form of tattooing. I can’t wait to watch them evolve and grow with you through the years!
These legs were inspired by Tibetan artwork and Asian influenced.
