This print has been with me for years now. I never looked into it until today. It’s an OG print and can you guess what it’s worth?? I bought it from Ralph Lauren during a store renovation. More about it in the comments...

Test your stitching first, this is allowing you to practice and develop your stitching skills without the pressure of making mistakes on a project piece. It also helps you become comfortable and confident with different stitches, making it easier for you to complete future projects with more precision and accuracy. Additionally, practicing on spare fabric allows you to experiment with different thread types, tension settings, and stitch lengths to find what works best for you. Keep your scraps and swatches for this purpose.

Mastering Twin Needles for Piped and Boning Channels on Your Domestic Sewing Machine Using twin needles on your domestic sewing machine can revolutionize the way you create piped channels and boning channels for steel bones. Here’s how: 1. Piped Channels: Twin needles are perfect for creating beautifully symmetrical piped channels. By sewing with twin needles, you can effortlessly create parallel lines of stitching, ensuring your piping is neatly and securely enclosed. This method saves time and increases accuracy compared to using a single needle and stitching twice. 2. Boning Channels: For corset makers, an extra-wide twin needle can be a game-changer. Using an extra-wide twin needle, you can sew perfect channels for steel boning in one pass. This not only speeds up the process but also ensures your boning channels are evenly spaced and secure. Tips for Success: • Ensure your sewing machine is compatible with twin needles and adjust the settings accordingly. • Use a straight stitch for clean, professional-looking channels. • Practice on scrap fabric to get a feel for how your machine handles the twin needles. Incorporating twin needles into your sewing routine can significantly enhance the quality and efficiency of your projects. Whether you’re creating delicate piped details or sturdy boning channels, twin needles provide a professional finish with minimal effort. Happy sewing!

“🌟 Dive into the details of corsetry with us! Discover the magic of busks for a flawless fit. 🌿🌸 Swipe to compare the sleek 2” wide stainless steel busk and the classic spoon busk. While the stainless steel busk offers a smooth, flat front perfect for general waist cinching, the spoon busk curves to tuck in the lower belly pooch, providing extra support and shaping exactly where you need it. ✨ Which one suits your corset goals? #CorsetryBasics #WaistTraining #CorsetGuide #SculptYourCurves”

I decided to combine these materials to create a unique and eye-catching accessory - a corset belt. The pleather will provide structure and support for the belt, while the Chanel ribbon will add a touch of luxury and elegance. The beige mesh and coutil scraps will be used for the panels and detailing, adding a touch of contrast to the overall design. I'm excited to see how this upcycled creation will turn out and can't wait to showcase it as a sample 26” waist waspie. #ChanelCorset #Chanel #Corsetry #corsetmaking #corsetmaker
