Day 5- how do I empower other:
Honestly, what empowered me the most growing up was competing in pageants. The tools and skills that I have learned from interview and being comfortable on stage has impacted my everyday life and my goal of being a singer. I want to empower other women to compete as well so they can learn life skills just like I have and apply those skills to their lives.
Day 4- favorite phase of competition:
Even though it’s an optional at Miss Ultimate USA, talent has always been my favorite. Music is what I live in breathe and hope to get to do for the rest of my life. I’m so excited to get to share what God put me on this earth to do at nationals!!
Day 3: service initiative. My platform is a life changing one and one I deal with every day. I was diagnosed with dyslexia at a very young age. Through the help of my parents and teachers I was able to get the right education that fit my learning styles. Now I work as an advocate to teach educators and parents how to identify the signs of dyslexia and help those with this challenge learn techniques, build confidence and strengthen their abilities. I have created and developed a Dyslexia Tool Kit using a variety of techniques that help me.

Day 2! To say I love my sister queens is an understatement. One of the things I love about competing is the sisterhood. The girls I have met through pageantry are some of my lifelong friends and I’m so blessed to be surrounded by powerful women.
A day late but count down to nationals starts now!! First posting day is smile!! Always smiling when I get to perform especially for the party animals national anthem!!
Today I had the pleasure to get to play in a golf tournament for charity! This small town in NC does a golf tournament the 2nd Tuesday of every month to support local food drives! Nothing I love more than a little small town working together for something big. A little fun fact I’ve actually been playing golf all my life! I have always loved the sport and am so blessed to have gotten to play today.
